Confectionery Production extends media partnership with ISM and ProSweets - Confectionery Production

With the major global events fast approaching, ISM Cologne and ProSweets has confirmed it has re-signed a longstanding media partnership with Confectionery Production magazine, reports Neill Barston.

The two highly influential shows for the sweets and snacks sector set to return in parallel between 2-5 February 2025, after a notable performance earlier this year saw a combined total of over 40,000 attendees from 140 countries return to the latest editions of these key trade fairs.

Confectionery Production will be returning again to offer live coverage across the shows, which will include distribution of our special event magazine edition, marking the continued development of the industry across equipment, systems, ingredients, and a host of new product innovations.

In celebrating our 90th anniversary in publishing this year, our title’s experienced team will be on hand to offer insights and reports from Cologne, which is set to prove another strong show that continues a pattern of improvement in attendance and scope in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic that considerably impacted global live events.

As its organisers, Koelnmesse, explained, for the 2025 edition of ISM, is set to feature a total of1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries, with contributions from key industry brands such as Katjes, Krüger, Lambertz and Trolli are presenting their latest products, whilst international stars like Baronie from Belgium, Canel’s from Mexico, Cloetta Holland from the Netherlands, Fazer from Finland, Millano from Poland and Sölen from Turkey will exhibit their innovations.

The exhibitor, Bifa Biscuits from Turkey, also returns after five years and the Japanese cult brand, Morinaga, is on board again after 20 years of absence. Both companies are known for their creative and high-quality products.

Sweet Week developmentOne of the major new elements for the shows will be its Sweet Week talks and tastings stage, which draws together ISM with its sister ProSweets show, which is set to be position in Hall 10.1

As the organising team noted, this series of talks, presentations and discussions, is set to offer practical solutions for current challenges and promotes the exchange within the industry.

Notably, as Confectionery Production has previously reported, the close ties between the two events has proved one of its strongest factors, creating a platform for production managers, research and development as well as packaging and ingredients experts that goes far beyond a pure trade fair visit and lends suppliers and manufacturers the opportunity to shape the future of the sweets and snacks production.

This is further enhanced by high-quality contents like those for example presented on the jointly organised stages, the Expert Stage on the Boulevard.

Furthermore, a further major highlight is the Sweet Week Production Summit taking place on 3rd February, which will be making its debut at the event, focused on how AI will be utilised within the industry.

It will explore how artificial intelligence can be explore to deliver cost-efficient and future-proof production methods, which will be followed by a matchmaking forum in the Networking Area to promote concrete solutions and business relations.
