Instead of throwing out your used coffee grounds, you can try repurposing them into something useful. In this episode of ITK: Kitchen Hacks, we show you three simple hacks that turn waste into coffee-flavored treats, homemade beauty products or DIY cleaners. Think again before you toss out coffee grounds!

Coffee Grounds Hack 1: Make whipped coffee cream

Pour heavy cream over leftover coffee grounds in a French press. Then, press the top down and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes. Add powdered sugar to the coffee-infused cream, and whip with an electric hand mixer until it's light and fluffy. Use the whipped coffee cream to top iced coffee drinks for a sweet treat.

Coffee Grounds Hack 2: Make DIY coffee eye cream

Melt 3 tablespoons of coconut oil in a pan over medium heat, then add 2 tablespoons of almond oil and 4 tablespoons of used coffee grounds. Stir it all together, then let the mixture simmer for 30 minutes. Strain the mixture into a bowl, then add 2 more tablespoons of coconut oil. Stir to combine, then pour the mixture into jars and let it cool completely. Use the cream to combat under-eye circles!

Coffee Grounds Hack 3: Use coffee grounds to scrub dirty dishes

Get rid of stains or stuck-on grease by putting used coffee grounds onto dirty dishes and using a sponge to scour away the mess. Your dishes will look good as new!
